I definitely don't like being hit on by beautiful young women (unless they are seeking moral guidance and the transcendent). I'm only doing this to keep in touch with friends.

I like to spend most of my spare time serving G-d and hanging out with friends (most of them are either in my Orthodox Jewish community or are writers -- Cathy Seipp, Matt Welch, Emmanuelle Richard, David Rensin, etc). As I don't have a wife and kids to look after, I try to read several books a week, mostly non-fiction (history, religion, economics).

I'm in the process of writing three books. One is a collection of my best interviews centered around self-destruction. It's tentatively titled LIVES ON THE EDGE. The other is particularly dear to my heart. It's my first novel. MY LAST SHIKSA is about an Orthodox Jew's last fling with a Gentile. The tag line is -- "He thought it was just for fun. He was wrong." My final book on my immediate agenda is about Orthodox rabbis who are sexual predators.

I'm a religious humanist. All of my interests center on people. Rivers, animals, landscapes and technology are of no interest to me except as they serve people.

I love to get to know people in a deep way. In my interviews, I try to uncover what makes people tick. If someone intelligent talks honestly about himself, I can listen for hours.

Ethical people who read and are funny. I want to meet a woman who will share Shabbos and Judaism with me (why then have I only had relationships with shiksas over the past six years?). I want to have kids. I'm tired of meaningless sex.
